Italian Dressing Recipe
— ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
—½ cup balsamic vinegar
— 2 cloves garlic minced
— 2 tsp. oregano, preferably fresh
— 1 tsp. basil, preferably fresh
— ½ tsp. onion powder
— ½ tsp. crushed red pepper
— ¾ tsp. salt
— 1 tsp. ground pepper
— 1 tsp. lemon juice, zest optional
— 2 tsp. brown mustard, store-bought or home-made
— 1 tsp honey
— ½ tsp. thyme
— (optional: 2 tbl. grated Parmesan)
— (optional: ¼ cup mayo for creamy)
Instructions: Mix all of the above ingredients into a container that works for sauces. Shake up, then refrigerate for at least an hour. Use as you will. Will last pretty long in the fridge.
