Introduction

Mirra Chrome by Alsa is a deposition paint that may come close to a chrome shine (depending on following instructions). It can accept clearcoat (Mirra Clear recommended), and require only a smooth surface and a spray gun or airbrush. Until now only chrome plating, silvering or bare metal buffing could produce a mirror-like shine. It requires expertise in the use of a spraygun or airbrush (small projects).

  • Prep your surface for painting, then spray on black base coat. Skip this step if you already have a glass smooth surface.
  • Clear coat the black. Mirra Clear cures fastest. Surface must come out clean. No buffing and no fingerprints.
  • Increase the psi on your gun or airbrush, and decrease the volume. You want to mist on the Mirra Chrome, not spray like regular paint. Mist back and forth until the shine comes out. Let dry at least an hour.
  • Gently wipe away ny excess Mirra Chrome dust, using a soft clean cloth. Cotton t-shirt works fine. Spray a wet coat of Mirra Clear. Allow dry. Prep for final top coat if desired. Top clear may be tinted, too.
